top speed
If you were in 4th gear it was probably the rev limiter at 5800 rpms at around 125, that sounds about right. Put it in 5th gear and keep on the gas pedal and you'll go faster guaranteed

Yeah I guess so, I caught that after I posted, didn't feel like editing. Yeah you're right though without the Z rated tires I believe there is a speed limiter. I didn't have a speed limiter in my A4 L98 Z28....I hit 130+ a couple times in that baby. And I KNOW I don't have a speed limiter in my M6 LT1...hehe, I have a nice fat top speed. If you decide to go faster, better get the Zrated tires!
Thank you for the information. What is the top speed without the speed limiter? I have the 2:73 gear ratio does that mean that it did not come with the z-rated tires. Is there a reason why they put a limiter other then the tires. Is it a different rear end setup that can handle more speed. Thanks again
155 Mph in 5th gear with 3.42's at El Mirage Dry Lake bed. Ran out of room (it's a small lake bed) and felt the tires starting to slip at 155 (back end getting light). In 6th gear I could only get to 140mph before I ran out of "road" I plan to go back out since I've installed the SLP headers and see how it does.
