Top End Questions
I have been thinking about what i am going to do to my camaro, and i think i have an idea. I am looking to hit around 330-350rwhp and i think this might do it. I am also building a 383 for my TA so i just want my camaro to be fairly mild.
The bottom end is a 350 bore .040 over
it has Scat cast steel crank, forged rods and Keith Black Hyper. pistons
I am thinking about the top end now.
I can get a new hotcam kit from a friend for $150, w/ everything but the rockers
i have a local shop that is going to do a basic port and polish w/ 3 angle valve job for $420. since I have to buy rockers should I stick to the 1.6rr and springs that are in the kit or would 1.7rr be worth buying? Would the extra lift help me get more power? And would i have to upgrade springs, maybe use 918's, and what length pushrods? I am just trying to get everything figured out since I am not building this from the ground up like my 383.
The car is an A4 and i am thinking about getting a 3000 stall and 3.73 I would go with the cc503 but the cost of the cam kit i cant refuse. What power would i get out of this? Would mid to low 12 with DR be reasonable? And also nitrous might be in my future, but it would be rarely used.
