too much timing?

Would too much timing cause a rattle when you shut off the car?

I thought it was the torque converter becayse the bolts seemed a little loose but its still making the rattle.

Kind of like it wants to keep running. Idle seems a bit off too.

When I had the car programmed last year I had a spun bearing at the time so I don't think it was done accurately.

Re: too much timing?

Do you have a way to get under the car to tap several areas with a rubber mallet?

Try pulling the coil wire to crank it for a few seconds and see if it will rattle when you stop cranking it to help locate the problem.

Re: too much timing?

When you turn off the ignition, you have only residual fuel in the cylinder (which could fire in the cylinder 1 time possibly). There is no injector pulse or spark possible with the key off (so timing is not a factor), so it is likely something else.
