Too big for CA smog?

I'm trying to decide what camshaft to get and I'm very interested in the XE 224/230. I've read that maybe it could pass smog, or no it won't. I like the CC305 but buying all the parts seperate costs much more than getting a cam kit. Perhaps I could burn two chips, one that will lean things out for smog and one for performance?
I figure the LT4 hot cam would pass smog ok... but I dunno it sounds a little weak for my taste.. I may have to settle for it in the long run. Any thoughts on this?

As a general rule of thumb, the tighter the LSA, the harder it will be to get to pass smog. The CC305 on a 114 LSA passes with relative ease, while the 234/230 on a 112 LSA may have some difficulty.

That is true. If I did go with the CC305 I'd still have it ground to a 112 LSA though

People pass with the LT4 Hot Cam and that has a 112 LSA
