Tonight, Stock alarm randomly sounds and dome light wont go off. HELP?? (did search)

I have a 97 Z28 with the factory alarm, power locks, keyless entry.

I washed my car, then about 3 hours later, my alarm suddenly sounds. No one around. No one touched the car. Nothing. Just sounded on its own.

Maybe an hour later, same thing. Alarm sounds, I disarm then rearm.

5 minutes later same thing. I disarm, then rearm the alarm, but I notice the dome light is still on. Disarm. Got in the car, started it up, everything seemed fine, shut it off, closed the door, armed the alarm....dome light is STILL ON. Started it up again, dome light stayed on when running, shut it off, played with the arm/disarm buttons, dome light still on, started it up again, finally it decides to shut off.

Got out, didnt arm the alarm (because i dont want to deal with it all night long) and locked the door with the key. Dome light is off now, but I'm sure it'll probably happen again.

Anyone know whats going on? I'm stumped

No, I dont want to pull a fuse or anything ghetto like that

Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks

Is it possible there is a problem with one of the door switches? Or possibly the door is shifted and the switch is not being depressed as far as it should. This may account for the light on and alarm sounding.

Mine did the same thing except for the dome light. I figured that water from washing had leaked onto the shock sensor after opening the hatch. After about 3 times at 2:00 am, I had to disconnect the battery for the rest of the night. The next day, no problems at all. Check the shock sensor under the trim panel on the pass. side of the hatch (see if it got wet). I would also check the door pins as well, just in case. For me I guess it was just giving the sensor time to dry out...

I had a similar problem after jump starting the car a few weeks ago.. The alarm would randomly go off, no problems with the interior lights though.. It eventually stopped for no apparent reason, but now I realize that I did have to disconnect the battery for something so that could've done it.. Check the door sensors like someone said, that would explain it.. But if not, try disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it.
