tires

does anyone know if there is a website that has a chart or something with tire sizes (i.e. 245/50-16) and overall height also? Trying to get new wheels with taller, wider tires on the back, but I don't know how to find height from the measurements... thanks

Go to http://www.tirerack.com They list all the specs for each tire size/brand.

yeah, tirerack is a good website for comparisons. i bought tires at treaddepot.com. this place had the best prices. shipping for me was only $38 for 4 tires, which i consider good. this place saved me a little over $90 on the tires i wanted over my second cheapest place i found to buy tires from. customer service has been good to me also.

to convert mm to inches:
divide by 25.4

tire height:

[(width in inches)X(aspect ratio)X 2] + rim dia = height

on 245 50 16 tire

245 / 25.4 = 9.645

9.645 X 0.50 X 2 = 9.645 + 16 = 25.6" tire height
