Tip for PPL with K&N's that fall off

If your having some problems with your K&N falling off I found that its likely because some grease from the filter or elsewhere has gotten on the connection between the filter and the tube. Clean the outside of the tube and the inside of the air filters rim with soap and water after you oil the filter. I wasn't satsfied with the snugness mine had even if i tightened it on like crazy and being able to pull it off with a few sharp tugs...
Cleaning the plastic and rubber with soap made it a much better connection.

Good idea, I had mine fall off once not long after I put it on. It also fell off once after my car was in to the dealer for warranty work. Bast$%s probably just left it off cause it was too hard to put back on. Anyway, it seems to have taken a fit now as it has held on for a long time.

yeah thanks, mine fell off on the road when i took off that black panel for my ram air mod. still haven't got another filter but i drilled and ripped apart my stock air box to flow well enough with my ram air mod and also cut off that black thing that runs under the radiator. thanks anyways. i'll keep it in mind next time.
