Go with a standard timing chain and new gear. I installed the Cloyes set and it works just fine. I was told, and have read, that the LT4 Extreme Duty - or double roller chain - may be stronger for the extreme HP cases - but is LOUD AS HELL.
When I installed my Cloyes set it improved my performance, gave me a quicker start and reduced some "rattle" under the hood. A stretched chain simply can't give you optimum performance. Imagine a badly stretched bicycle chain, "peddle" response would be sacrificed and the chain would be sloppy. Same with the timing chain on your car.
You'll now probably get some responses telling you why you need a double roller chain or some other type. Do your homework by using "Search" for timing chains. This will give you opinions and info.

Is this timing chain for the 92 to 94 a roller? Reason I want to stay with what I have as far as the opti is it seems to work fine, just want to change the cap and rotor in it and let it keep going. I don't want to go with a elec water pump either

You have a 97, I have a 94....I am going with a new stock chain and an over sized Steel crankshaft gear. Spoke to my engine builder this afternoon.....stock is fine for 400wrhp.....so thats what I am going with.
