Timing set install for stock lt1 question
I have a cloyes double roller setup to install. it has the multiple keyways and I was wondering if stock setup is advanced at all so I should set it forward or backward a couple degrees. oOr is it just - 0 - ???
Just making sure before I go ahead and do it.
My stock setup has some slack in it but looks pretty good. I noticed the links are a lot tighter and a totally different design then the cloyes chain. How much slack is acceptable for a good timing chain and are there any tips I should know before doing it?
I also need to know what I should put in or around the "key" that I am installing in my crank hub. Somone said to use anti-seize compound. How much and where? On the key and on the hubs inner surface?
I always double check before I tear stuff apart...
