Will a stock timing set replacement suffice for the 306 cam?

 

I used my stock timing chain on 4 rebuilds....they are considerably tougher than people give them credit for.

The timing chain you took off is still good unless it was destroyed from the result of engine failure.

 

I know of several people that just throw in a fresh stock set with the CC306 and have had no issues.
