Is this a rebuilt engine? Oversized timing gears are for align bored crank journals that move the crankshaft centerline upwards. If this is simply for a cam swap all you really need is a new chain.

new timing chain is p/n 10128485

accually im doing a cam swap and im not going thru the hassle of having to do the lt4 chain yet

so im going to use the stock chain with the gear

the gear has the same amount of teeth and all it does is reduce chain slack

If the engine is stock you shouldn't have excessive slack. You don't want the chain too tight either
