I just got my car back together (optispark and set the rockers) and it will idle pretty well but i backed out of my garage and it started missing and when it was rolling back into the garage it died on my. Also i had a code reader on it and it was reading 25 degrees advance. anyone have a clue whats going on? my car is a 97 Z28 6 speed

 

If you were watching timing advance in real time, 25° is not unusual and not an indication of a problem. I would be looking at something else.

 

Check all of the wires. That was my problem, it idled fine but would pop, backfire and miss at varying RPM.
