timing covers
timing covers
How much do the timing covers differ from the vented and non vented opti? I'll need a new one for my rebuild and i'm using a non vented opti. Can I use any timing cover for an lt1? How about from an lt1 corvette??
Also, the the different covers effect the oil pans at all? because i'll need a new one of those too.

Re: timing covers
look at the bottom here http://shbox.com/1/engine_front_diagram.jpg , it shows the difference between vented and nonvented timing covers
to answer your question, you need the timing cover to match the opti you are going to use, you also need the correct timing set, oil pans are the same, vented and non

IIRC, vettes were nonvented 92-93, f-bodys 93-94, b-bodys , as far as I know, never
