Timing cover question
Timing cover question
Guys,
My major winter project will be to install the modified Holley Stealth Ram intake that Bret did for me. I have an Accel Gen 7 DFI on the way, so I will be installing a distributor. With the Gen 7 set-up I have a choice of either triggering the ignition with the distributor or with a crank trigger. I'm not sure which way I'm gonna do it yet(I'm leaning toward a crank trigger), but either way I will be ditching the Opti-Crap completely. Are there any standard timing covers that will work on the LT1 or do I need to get the front cover/plug from Gm performance Parts?

Re: Timing cover question
You'll have to get the front cover plug....I'm running into a similar issue only it's for a belt drive. Can you believe nobody make a dry belt drive for the LT1??? It's not like it has some stupid distributor running of the cam or anything.....Oh wait it does...DOH!!!!
