timing cover?

timing cover?

i am doing heads/cam and i am having problems putting the timing cover back on. i didn't have to loosen any of the oil pan bolts to get if off but i am sure having a hard time tring to put it back on. any suggestions.

The oil pan goes on after the timing cover, so you should have loosened the pan first.

how many bolts do i have to take out of the oil pan in order for it to drop enough to get the cover on?

I think I dropped 3 maybe 4 down each side and loosend the rest.

what restricts it from going back on? the seal on the bottom of the pan?
