Timing Chain Clearance

Fixing to attempt to clearance my 95 cover for my Cloyes double roller chain. The easiest way it seems to do so it to put the chain on the motor and then cover the chain and front of sprocket in grease and bolt the cover up and spin the motor over?

That's the way I did it. Search in here and there are some pics of where you need to grind away. I'd do some first and then fit it.

It seems on my cover that the sides of the chain has plenty of clearance aagainst the sides of the cover. All the clearancing is needed on the front of the chain and the front of the sprocket right?

Yes, that is true.

That's where I was told to grind and what it looked like after.
