Timing chain for 95 LT1

The GM replacement chain is big bucks! Are there any alternative chains that are good for less money?

A stock timing chain is $23. Is that too much?

Like I said shoebox, big bucks! Are you serious? What the heck was I looking at then? Seems like it was a powdered metal gear with chain for like 239.00. I guess that isn't the one you're talking about! For some reason, I was thinking that it was a special part because of the water pump drive.

By the way shbx, I was looking at your cam install tech page. I'm thinking very seriously about swapping in a cc305 or something similar. I just bought a 2600 stall converter and should get it next week. I'm afraid to go to the cam you are running because of low-end torque loss. Is this a concern with the cam you are running? Thanks,
Chris

My cam is on a 114 LSA. I don't really perceive any low end torque loss. You might be thinking of a 112 LSA.

I paid ~$70 for a complete stock GM timing set (both gears and chain).
