Timeing Chains

How good are the timeing chains in these 95 camaro z28's my car is starting to make a squeaking sound in the front of the motor when i rev the motor it gets louder. i know i have a small header leak on the right side would that cause it to squeak

Timing chain would be about my last suspect. Pull the serpentine belt off and restart the car too see if the noise is still there. It probably will not be, then shut it down and start turning the accessories and tensioner by hand as see if one feels tight, rough or squeeks.

If a squeeking noise comes from inside the engine that can be VERY bad, but that noise is bad enough that I think you would be showing more concern.

Ummmmmmmmm yea well i was driveing on the highway today and all of a sudden booooooooooooooooommmm my exhaust manafold gasket on my passanger side is shot i knew i should not of used that cheap gasket that came with my longtube pacesetters headers i am just glad it was just that. the sad part is i ignored the o2 sensors running so rich and it was that gasket the whole time leaking i evan tuned it in openloop because of it running so rich and it did run alot better in openloop now i know what the problem is it only took a heartattack to figure it out lol
