Time For New Injectors

Well after doing a tune up im still getting crappy gas mileage, so i figure I am going to replace the injectors, original with 70k. I am planning on doing LT's, 1.6 rr and new cam in the near future. My question is I calculate that I will need about 28-30#. Will my car run like crap until i do my upgrades? Do i need to tune my MAF for the bigger injectors? or is this just plug and play type swap? thanks guys!

You can run them but the mileage wont get any better until you get your PCM tuned for the mods you have. You know that you can get your stock injectors cleaned and flowed to run like new right?

Have you tried putting your stock MAF back in? It's known that modified and aftermarket MAF's can have problems and cause you to lose power and gas mileage. I'd try that first since it's free.

Yes i know you can get injectors cleaned but i dont know if it is worth it since it will be about 25 per injector, to get it done from a reliable company. This would cost close to the same as new injectors and im not sure if it is worth it, since i will need bigger ones shortly. MeanGreen thanks i will try that out and hope it helps!
