I've finally located my ticking sound.

The mechanics stethoscope helped isolate the sound. I pulled the Intake and found the rollers on one of the lifters had a chunk missing from it. I'll try to post a reply with pics. Hopefully it didn't do a number on my cam, but my finger tells me it's still smooth. Otherwise I'll be mod time next year.

I bought a pair of lifters from Golden Mile Chev. in Toronto. The gave me a good deal.
