Unhappy Thump! under shifter

okay my car is completely( except the sig.) stock as far as i know its original with all 75000 miles on it. i have 6, 1/8 miles passes on it and every once i awhile i take off pretty hard on the street. so tonight i am leaving a friends house and when i turn out of his driveway i punch the gas. right as i did that something under the car, right under the shifter , banged into the floorpan. i thought i felt it but wasn't sure, the radio was on and i just kept going. so later on tonight i was pulling out of a parking lot and it hit hard enough to bounce a can in the cup holder. so i babied it home. it only hits when i accelerate and it dosen't have to be a foot to the floor either, just enough to get you going easy can make it hit. any ideas what this could be? i looked under to see if anything was hanging down. i am kinda thinking the rear tranny mount is shot and letting the tranny hit the floor, but the mount is still bolted to the crossmember. mabey the torque arm mount to the tailshaft? if you have any ideas shoot them my way please. i am going to try to get it on the rack at work tomorrow but i don't know if i will be able too.

Yeah, I am pretty sure it is the tranny mount. Mine did the same thing, it is a terrible sound!!! The mount was only like $40 and it was really easy to install.
