Throttle & Cruise Cable Removal

Was going to polish my throttle body the other day, and went to take it off. Before I removed it, I figured I would make sure how to remove the throttle cable and cruise control cable. Can anyone explain this real quick? Also, when I hook the cables back up will anything need to be adjusted?

Cruise cable just pops off and the throttle cable runs through that slot and pull it out without rotating it any (basically a dowel pin connected to a cable). Kinda of hard to explain but it is really simple.

You should not have to do any adjusting just make sure everything is on good.

So to remove the throttle cable I just take it off the spring (or whatever it is) that's on the drivers side of the throttle body?

Open the TB blades to assist in getting slack to get the cables off. The cruise cable connector needs to be pushed forward to release it from the button. If you try to just pull it off from the side, you may break it.
The accelerator cable is attached like a bicycle brake cable that has a lead end. It wraps around the bottom of the arm.

Cool

And if you do break the little plastic piece of doggie do-do,you can buy a piece(metal) from the electical dept. at home depot that will just fine(cruise control cable here). This will work if you don't want to replace the whole darn cable.(I.m talking about that little black plastic thing that slides on the bicycle cable.)It's been a couple of years now,so I don't remember the part #,but if you keep posting here ,I'll get it for you.(do the cheap stuff first.)Hope this helps.
