Throttle cable weirdness.....
I swapped a 94 engine in a 93 Z I bought this summer. I don't remember how the throttle cable felt with the old engine ("clack-clack" may be one of the reasons why I never went WOT on that one
) but once I swapped in the 94 engine, the throttle cable was loose. If you floored it, Datamaster would show 75% TPS at most.
Now I ended up cutting the old stop on the cable and tried a new stop, but I cut too much so I ordered a 94 cable, which I've heard, was slightly shorter.
I installed the 94 cable, routed it correctly and the same thing happens. I can go 100% if I really want to but I have to push the pedal so hard, it's simply not normal.
Yes, I know that the carpet may contribute to some of this, but I never had a problem going 100% with the carpet in my '95.
Ideas?
Thanks!

Nope... but if you want some adjustability buy a Lokar unit. I've run one for a while.
Although you have to get a pair of large (1-1.25" diameter) washers, I used stainless, because of the hole in the firewall.
