Throttle cable
Throttle cable
I am doing the abs delete on my 95 z28 because the rear i bought is a three chanel and the car is a four channel. i am going to get the kit to remove the abs controll unit and all that extra junk. the car has traction controll and i have always hated the way the traction controll motor over the drivers valve cover. i know it wont work anymoe anyway so has anyone ever deleted asr? was there another f-body made that had a differnt throttle cable that would easily swap in? part #?
The accelerator cable for a '95 car without traction control is part number 122550676. It's basically the same as the one in a car with traction control, but just longer to reach to the throttle body.
The '95 non-traction control cruise control cable is part number 12550719.

I have a 95 without the Traction Control. You'll also need a "retaining clip" and bracket that fits onto the intake manifold stud (4th from the front on the driver's side).
Also, there is another bracket that fits on the accelerator cable / throttle body cover on the driver side. It locks the clip on the end of the accelerator cable to the bracket.

Removing the ASR box is easy. Get the non-ASR cables (the cruise cable is discontinued, so you need a donor car), then remove the ASR cables and put in the non-ASR cables. No extra parts/modifications required.
ok if i am thiking of this right my car has two cables, one from the pedal to the asr box and one from the asr box to the throttle. i think in an asr car the asr motor also acts as the cruse motor so if i take the asr box out why would i use two cables. sorry if that sounds a little stupid but my car has not been running for almost 9 months so things are getting fogy.
Green96Z - I don't know what is on an ASR vehicle since mine isn't equipped with it. I'm just stating that if in fact it is a longer cable that is needed, then I also have 2 brackets: one in the middle and one at the tip of the cable.
If the ASR has it, then disregard.
