Can anyone tell me if the throttle body air foil does anything noticable for an LT1's performance. My car has the ram air hood and the airbox to throttle body flow is pretty much a straight shot. Would one of these improve my car? I know they can be had for $30 or $40, but why waste the money if there is no bang for the buck. Thanks

 

i would get one. I had one and for 3rwhp and about 30-40 bucks that isn't a bad deal. I took mine off because i needed more air for idle air control because of my cam so i pulled it out. I am selling it for 25 shipped if you are interested.

 

no need for a big poll on this subject....30 dollar part, you might see 1 hp...if you think its worth it get it

 

go to ws6.com there is a dyno there showing what gains were made with airfoil it was like 2hp i believe but nothing you will feel. not reallyworth it in my opinion unless you are a serius competitor and looking to get that photo finish lead on the oponent

 

If you got a cold air intake i woud get it . It does create a few extra ponies , but if you have a stock air filter setup , it doesnt really cause enough turbulance for it to need a foil

i bought a used one simply because it was cheap





i honestly dont think the part is worth more than $20 at MOST.......it doesnt do anything noticeable.........its more of a theory.
