if you're running out of ideas for boltons, either save for that 12bolt you're gonna need or spend the money on suspension parts
a larger throttle body on a bolton car like yours isnt worth the coin for possible gains you might see

also use the search button at the top of the page
topic is beat up like a dead hooker

.

I added a BBK 52mm to my 93 with some other mods and it is worth the $$. It made a reasonably noticed gain in power, but then again I don't have a Mass Air Flow sensor assembly in front of it like you will. Just a Big Ol Cold Air tube.

You really need to be making 400 at the ground before you max out your 48 mm TB. I would start with suspension. That's what I'm doing, so that I can stay a bolt on car, and not have to move up in any classes

SOTP or actual proven numbers on a dyno or track?
an aftermarket TB will give better throttle reponse and the pedal will fell lighter but that is mdue more to the better quality components they are built with.

Plus the fact that because a larger throttle body is ... well larger... it will flow more air into the engine at lower TPS angles, making more power with less pedal input. So it makes sense that there'd be a power difference at part throttle. However, if your heads can't take advantage of the full amount of air that the stock TB can flow, then upgrading it probably won't make much of a difference at WOT.

I added it at the same time as my CAI and pcmforless chip. It all worked together for a major SOTP feel. It made the other side of my pants feel good too. lol

If you added all 3 at the same time you can't really say that the TB was the reason. I agree that the tune and CAI made a difference, but if you replaced only the TB, you wouldn't feel a difference.

keep in mind that the intake is 48 mm so u would have to expand that intake opening to match your tb. i personally think u would be better off with some slicks or some **** for the track, nitrous kit.

I put a 52mm TB on my car when it was bolt on only and it made a diff. When I got heads and a cam I added a 58mm (sure I couldn't tell if it helped because I put it on with the other stuff) and it sure didnt hurt anything. Go with a 52mm if you really want a TB. It will atleast be there to go along with future mods you make.

Actually, the intake openings are 52mm, you have to widen them to use a 58mm throttlebody, not a 52.
