Arrow threw my serpintien belt off!

i did a donut tonight in the grass behind my high school...i had it in 2nd it wound up and hit the revlimiter then shifted into 2nd (6500rpmrevlim.) then the check gauges light came on and everthing went real dim! i thought i blew my motor up...we pooped the hood and took a flashlight and looked around, and i seen my serpintien belt layin on the ground.

i drove it to my buddies shop after the basketball game about 7miles took it very slow...and we lifted it up on the rack and put it back on. the belt was snug and everthing looked alright? i just replaced the belt about 2months ago, and it still looked fine.

is it possible that the power steering pump may have looked up for a min because i had the wheels cranked all the way to the left? and that may have throwin it off?

Ive lost my belt doing donuts, only because my ps pump was blown, and the pully just slipped right out. actually, I lost about 4 belts when my pump was blown. I had to keep the rpms low

Donuts often = thrown belts and blown p/s pumps.
