hey, quick question. i removed my intake to change the gasket. i'm contemplating cleaning it up and painting it since i have it off. question is: when i take the vacuum connections/bolts off the sides of the intake, do the threads have and special thread tape to make a good seal? or can i just take them off and put them back on when i'm done? thanks.

edit: also, does anyone have any advice on polishing aluminum. ive never done it before and would like to re-polish my aluminum intake elbow and the fins on the intake. thanks again.
