Those who protected fuel lines with duals
To all the guys who protected their fuel/brake lines with true duals...what did you use, reflective tape? Ive also heard you can flip up the little bracket that holds the lines...is this true?
Pimp dog Matt: I would be extra careful with the "heat reflective" tape. I bought some aluminum tape and found out that the adhesive was flammable. I would use some header wrap or something similar. Summit sells the wrap along with metal tie-wraps to secure it.

I went all out...
I relocated the fuel lines higher up in the driveshaft tunnel and fabricated my own brackets.
Then I insulated them with this heat-reflective tape wrapped around foam. Then I fabricated heat shields and taped them up with heat-reflective tape.

I flipped the plastic things up, which moved the lines about another 1-1.5 inches higher. They were kinda hard to bend, but if you stick a screwdriver, or like me a wrench, cause I was to lazy to get one, they will move just fine, some spots you can use your hands. I haven't had any problems at all I even touched the lines after hard long drives to see if they heat up, and they don't, the covering stuff just lets moisture build up on them, or salt, if you live in the rust belt
are these lines being too close to the exhaust a problem on cars with y pipes and such or just true duals? i think ill probrably wrap most if not all my lines once i do finally get an LT1 just to keep the fuel cooler. later trey
