Those who know about fans (ON/OFF) get in here!

This pertains to the 93 in the signature....

The other day I was using the AC in the 93. The temperature got close to red so I turned it off, and the temp would come down normally. So since it only got substantially hotter with the AC on I figured it would be a fan not coming on.

So the next day I did a visual test of the fans the passanger side fan would trip normally, yet the driver side wouldn't come on at all, even with the car heated up, and the AC on MAX. So I pulled the fan shroud and took out the driver's side motor. I ran a 12V to it and grounded it, and it cranked up fine. I then plugged the driver's side fan into the passanger side harness it worked fine....
I then buttoned it all up, and it the fans work fine. I have did a voltage light test on the harness and it all works fine, but I am still wondering why it wouldn't work before?

What could I have done to make it work whereas it wouldn't before?

I'm clueless......

well I wouldn't be to ready to blame the fan its probably the wires from the plug, they get brittle sometimes...Did you already buy the motor?

Nope I didn't buy a new fan motor yet. The plug checked out, its is sending a 12V signal, I didn't have a test light before I pulled the fan motor, but I tested it after I reinstalled the motor....
