Question those with moroso solid motor mounts..

Did yours come with bolts? how bout instructions?

All I got was the two mounts and a warantee card.

Is there a web link I can go to for instructions or is this a no brainer job?

I'm pretty sure you just reuse the stock bolts.

You must be making a boatload of power to be switching to solid motor mounts Any reason why? Are you going to use a solid tranny mount too?

I'm going to solid motor mounts because I got them for $18 to my door brand new and that way I dont have to ever deal with saggy rubber mounts. This way I NEVER have to replace them again, I have a poly tranny mount already.... Not goin solid on that part.. not yet anyways

Cool, just make sure you have an LT4 knock sensor in there due to the solid mounts the motor is going to take in all road noise and with the solid mounts you will break the tranny mount quicker due to no cushion from the motor...just saying it may have been a good deal, but you daily drive your car and that is going to be very harsh on your drivetrain and you are going to feel every bump in the road a heck of a lot more, sell them and get the poly mounts, you'll thank yourself down the road

I put those moroso mounts on my previous SS, and just had a polly trans mount also.

No increase in vibration, road noise, etc. The trans mount lasted the entire time (i sold the car after putting like 2k miles on the setup) and the person that has it now has driven it much more than that with the same results.

I'm gonna chuck this one up in the ol' pile of myths right next to "You need backpressure in your exhaust system"

AWWW That's wrong
I went with solid mounts in my 76 vette and when I hit the track on slicks and gunned it, it ripped the entire mount and left a hole in the cylinder from the twist, before that I used poly mounts, so I guess one person's luck is always better then the next

You just use the stock bolts, and there's really no need for instructions.

I have solid motor mounts and a stock 150,000 mile tranny mount. It has been like this for a little over 10,000 miles with no trouble. A friend of mine has the same motor mounts in his bolt on '94 TA and there's not much of a difference versus the rubber mounts. However, mine are noticable with the cam. I have some dash rattles and there was an increased amount of vibrations. It's my daily driver and I have no problem with it, it just depends on what you want to tolerate.

I know they are not that much more harsh, that being the reason I got those over poly which the headers will cook or the stock rubber in which the headers will cook as well..

a 97 camaro and a 70 something vette are two totally different setups bro

I used the moroso solid mounts in my 68 with a 502 and noticed quite a bit of vibration. i know thats comparing apples and oranges but i assume you might feel a little vibration. As for install, i just undid both sides and carefully jacked up the tranny and motor as well as removing the tranny mount and went to work. But for you it might not be so easy so good luck and let me know because i have another set i thought about putting on my 95 for safety.
