DERRICK REDD. i just put the mufflex cat back on with hooker lts , hooker y and no cat, spintech muffler sounds very good but not as loud as i thought it would be. my borla with edelbrock headers was much louder.

They are not even on the same level borla has so much more to offer for about the same price...

Everyone has their own opinion of what exhaust is good. I think the Borla sounds very good with the LT1. Having heard both, the Borla is pretty different than the Hooker catback. The Hooker has no rasp and is quiet at idle with a beautiful deep sound once you give it throttle.(deeper than the Borla) It flows awesome too.

The Hooker isn't stainless though.

GMMG sounds wayyyy meaner. Plus you never hear anyone put it down. All personal opinion I guess.

Screw "opinions", I want cold hard facts. Opinion only counts for Sound and Appearance. Personally I dont want it to sound TOO ****ing loud, I think it is gay just like kids who drive a dodge neon with racing stripes.

Magnaflow - Stainless

SLP - stainless - but no low end hp or torque

Hooker - Looks cooler, performs and sounds about same, NOT STAINLESS.

Winner here is Magnaflow in terms of durability and sound and performance combined.

Borla and B&B triflow are the Kings of 4th gen exhuasts, hands down. I feel magnaflow closest resembles them for half the price. Just bought one after days of research. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2469576052
This comes with a free High flow cat (55$) and Free shipping for $334

Anyone who drives their car around with GMMG pipes behind the axle knows it is worth its weight in gold... or $850 whatever comes first

Performance is first in my book. Sound is second. If I ever get the Mufflex I planned on installing a 4" Dynomax Ultraflow round.

Thumbs up

I would go with the Hooker. But if I had to buy any exhaust I would buy the SLP dual dual which I am buying soon

i know they arent on the same level, gmmg owns borla. And what more does borla have to offer? ugly tips? plate design? ****ty sound? If i were to spend $750 on an exhaust system it would be gmmg, to me borla is WAY overpriced, especially for the sound it produces

It's not prone to rusting like bare metal.
