The thermostat autozone sold me doesn't look like the stock one....

I really hope not. New GM headbolts and new GM headgasket set. I blew a headgasket right before the heads and cam swap, and it didn't use as much coolant as it does now, but before it was puffing white smoke. Also it was running very rough at idle. Now, I can't tell about the idle because it lopes anyway But it doesn't smoke at all. I got on the interstate, floored it with my buddy behind me and a little black smoke was all, no white. So a blown headgasket is a possibility, but at this point I'm not sure how likely it is.

BTW I also used the torque sequence diagram in the manual for tightening the head bolts. Also there is only 6500 miles on the car since it was put back together.
