I came across a kit from PST . Its only 629 for all for calipers and looks pretty good. Is there any way for these to fit onto my car.

Why would you want 1982 Corvette brakes on your car? The stock LT1 brakes most likely are better than those. For just a little more, you can have C5/Z06 brakes, which are some of the best on the market for our cars. They have a very large pad sweep area on them, are 12.9" rotors I believe, and are aluminum calipers, actually lighter than the stock LT1 brakes I believe. Don't waste your time and money on 1982 brakes, spend an extra $150 and get C5's.

KG forgott to tell you about the brakets needed in the C5 conversion...

do a search on the suspension post or is it AutoXcross section?? blah.. I cant remember but you get my point.

Some cool dude is doing an extensive testing of a new bracket he updated from one of his own old designs... he sold a whole bunch of the old brackets and now he came up with a new one..
he should have the testing professionally done by now..

go check.

You didn't look at the link. The kit is for 4 piston calipers on the front and 2 on the rears.

I did look at the link. Just because they are 4-piston calipers, doesnt mean that they are better brakes. You have to take into account the diameter of the rotors and the swept area of the pads, larger area means more grip. The C5's are 2-piston and are similar to the calipers used with Baer's 2 piston kit. Also, you would need to make a custom bracket, which someone is already done with the C5 brakes, so it would probably end up costing you more to do that brake conversion, which are not as good of brakes as the C5. The rotors for the 82 vette are also going to have a much different offset than your camaro. Would the calipers clear your wheels once you get them on? The 82 Vettes I believe had a 15" or 16" wheel, so you are going to have smaller rotors with that kit. Save yourself the money and time and get something that has already been tested on our cars and go with C5 or Baer.

Anyone have a link for us lazy forum readers...? LOL!!

Actually... does the kit allow the use of the pretty red Corvette calipers with the "Corvette" script on them?

I would love to upgrade my '95 Z to these.
