Is there an opti upgrade that deletes it altogether?
Re: Is there an opti upgrade that deletes it altogether?
Ya could run the dual reluctor MSD crab cap distributor, and the ignition control boxes that go with it. Use one reluctor for the the spark timing and one for the injector timing and keep the computer for everything else.
Pricy to go that route but it can be done.

I dont want to go crazy like that. If I was to go with a single plane and such, maybe. I still dont know if the gains on that are worth the hassle so I'll wait on the distributor idea.
The delteq and LTCC look interesting. I've seen a couple good deals on them. How do they compare and do they both work with a ignition box? I have about $500 to spend on a complete ignition, MAX.

The new MSD pro-billet LT-1 distributor looks very nice, I have never had a problem with msd distributors and I would assume that their opti replacement will be top notch as well.

There was a post on the corvette forum from a person who proto typed Delteq's crank trigger system but when I called them I got the run around and it is definatly not available to the public yet.
