Is there anyway to fit ls1 heads on a lt1???
Is there anyway to fit ls1 heads on a lt1???
Im just wondering since this seems to be the biggest advantage the Ls1 have, their 18* heads. Do they not line up or whats the deal? Just need to make the reverse coolant passages?

About the only thing the same between the LT1 and LS1 is the bore spacing. You'd have a much better chance adapting some SBC 18* heads to fit your LT1. SBC and LT1 are very similar and internals are interchangable, LS1 is very different. If you bought some Brodix 18* heads, for example, besides the obvious valvetrain mess, you'd have to revise the coolant passages and fiddle with the head gaskets, as you were saying. With the LS1 you'd be milling, filling holes and drilling new ones, who knows if you'd even come up with anything usable.
