Is there an advantage of 3.73s over 4.10s on a M6?

pretty much topic. I've read quite a bit about how gears should be one of the first mods, and have mostly read 3.73s. Are 4.10s too short? I was thinking with a M6 it wouldnt hurt top end too much.
Thanks ppl!

I've had both 3:73's and 4:10's both with a six speed. If you drive in town alot you better like shifting with the 4:10's first is really short and not much of a use in town. I start in 2nd all the time but I also don't drive the car but on the weekends. Now as for the hwy you'll only see a increase of about 400 RPM's from the 2 gears . I hope this helps

3.73s here too... a friend of mine had 4.10s in his and he switched back to 3.73s after a few months. They're great for the strip and with sticky tires, but aren't too great for the street due to being so short and no traction. Shifting at 2200, I usually just use 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 6th while driving and it's great. If you're serious about getting 4.10s, using the "4-speed" techinque might be a good idea for making them livable.
Went with 4.10s over the stock 3.42s. Personally don't have any problems with them. Makes 6th usable.
Yes, you are really torquey in the low ranges, but that's what I like about the lt1 anyway. JMHO
