And Then I Started To Cry!!!!!
Answer the following questions.....
1.) What gears do you have?
2.) In what gear and aprox what rpm did you do through the traps?
Answer the above questions so I can help you...but let me tell a little story.
My brother 96Z, M6 3.73, Hotcam kit, Hooker Lt's, Dual Exhaust, Tuning.......
well his trap speed range between 106 and as high as 111. The diffrence in his case is traction. They say that no traction equals higher trap speeds but in my brother's case is different and I will tell you why.
With regular tires he spins so bad through first, second, and half of third, that when he shifts to fourth it bogs the car badly bring his traps lower. With Drag radials and constan 2.00 60 ft's he traps 109constaly and as high as 111mph.
According to him, his theory sugges that with drag radials and minimal wheel spin he is able to maximize each gears top speed and accleration therefore keeping each gear through the fat part of the rpm curve. He says that with street tires, he spins first, second, and part of third that by the time he hits fourth his gears/rpm fall out of the rpm range (too low rpms) therefore bogging the car down.
There does not seem to be anything mechanically wrong with your car if is pulling that much RWHP. That means that your car is pushing a little over 400 flywheel hp, and therefore you should be able to trap around 108-110 given your cars race weight.
Keep trying, and are you registering any codes?

Gears are 3.42
Basically at 5200-5400 rpm with an M6/3.42 gears should be good for 116-119 mph in 4th. If you indeed go through the traps in 4th at those rpm's and only trapped 104 proves that your car was really bogged down.
At 104mph, you would have been on 3rd at exactly 6000rpm at the trap. You are spinning way too much man and bogging your car down. That is why your 4th seemed weak, your actual speed (mph) when you shifted in 4th put the car out of its fat rpm range.
Get some drag radials or e.t streets, I would not recommend higher ratio gears until you master your current set-up. Also raise your shifts at 6300-6400. At 6000 you are forcing your rpms to be to low (bog) after each gear upshift.
Good Luck Man.
You will see results....!! Keep us posted.
