THATS IT! ive had it........someone come blow up my car

changed MAP sensor, plugs, o2's this weekend, and STILL have hesitation just as bad as before. i cant even drive it down my street without it stuttering.

wtf........the only other thing i can think of is the opti, but that was changed only 17k ago.

should i change the opti, or is there anything else?

ive heard that an autozone about 20 mins away from me will scan codes for free........i guess ill go do that tomorrow.

do you think its safe to drive the car that far?

Change your fuel filter maybe. Also, check your fuel pressure, maybe the fuel pump is crapping out.

oh yeah, i forgot to mention i changed the fuel filter also this morning.

the car has run PERFECTLY for the past 17k, since i bought it. it had a new opti and new water pump put on by a dealer right before i bought it.

all this hesitation only started 3 days ago.

What coil are you runing? If after market go back to stock. When I chucked my MSD it healed same problem. Boost was blowing the spark out.

Ok, here comes 100 questions, but you're wasting your own money by buying new parts and replacing ones that are working properly. Don't fix something unless you know its broke.

Are you throwing any codes? If so what are they?

Have you hooked it up to any kind of scanner to get any sensor readings while its hesitating?

Were your old plugs a greyish color or more a black carbon color?

Same with o2's...

Did you check for any kind of exhaust leaks?

im going to get codes scanned as soon as possible.

as for wasting time/money.........the o2's are worthwhile to change anyway.......im just pissed that wasnt the problem.

Did you remove the donkey dong?

A guy in another thread found that the cover he used when he removed the donkey dong had fallen off and the car was running badly after that.

1) Check for intake leaks after the MAF. (brake booster line, PCV check valve, Donkey D*ck, intake elbow, etc...)
2) Check for exhaust leaks before the O2's (header gaskets, AIR check valves, etc..)
3) Make sure the MAF is pluged in (correctly) and that the wires arent damaged in any way. (it sound stupid but it happens)
4) Check the Opti wiring for damage. (s.s.b.i.h.)
5) Check the ground strap for damage. (s.s.b.i.h.)
6) Find a friend with an F-Body the SAME year as yours, and swap the coil & dwell module as a whole unti. (the whole thing sits on an alum. heat sink) (make sure his car isn't having the same problem) (tip: make sure that you put dielectric greese on the back of the heatsink.)
7) Check coil & dwell module wiring for damage. (s.s.b.i.h.)
8) Replace opti.

I have seen opti's go bad after less than 100 miles. The amount of time you have on the opti means nothing (IMOP), when it goes, it goes. And there is nothing that can be done to prevent it. (IMOP). Do you run an ignition booster, like and MSD or an Accel?

Hope this helps.

I think EvlViln covered everything.

Check for intake manifold leaks. What color are your plugs?

Do you notice any fluctuations in your oil pressure at idle once the car is warmed up?
