Thank God for screwups!

I bent a pin going into my opti harness and looking at it I didnt think it could be saved. So, planning for the worst, I ordered a Delphi unit and started putting it in today. After removing the old unit, which only had about 4k on it according to the previous owner, I decided to take it apart and take a peek. WOW. Sounds like there is sand in the bearing and it would get really tight every so often. I had an intermittent high RPM miss that I thought I had traced to a burnt wire and a cracked collector close to the O2.... Good thing I messed up.

By the looks of it, the unit is a cheapy Autozone reman. Has the backing of an oem, but the optical sensor has no marking showing it is Mitsubishi.

Popped in the delphi, plugged in all the sensors and she started right up! Now I just have to put it all together and get to work on the rest of the car.
