rich posted this a few days ago. covers just about everything. i swapped from a 4l60e, so if you have further questions be glad to help.

You run the speedo the same way as any F-body, off a reluctor and a sensor (magnet) that is installed in the tranny. The M6 crossmember can be modified fairly easily to use with the TH400. Most people use a manual valve body. You may want to do a search, this has been discussed here a lot.

Here's what you need. I may be leaving some stuff out.

-transmission
-flexplate
-manual valve body
-dipstick
-oil pan (may not come with tranny)
-tranny cooler
-crossmember
-VSS (speed sensor as above)
-driveshaft
-shifter
-slip yoke
-torque arm (you need one that does not mount on the tranny)
-PCM reprogram to read speed correctly
-torque converter
-auto pedal assy (you can use the 3-pedal assy if you wish)
-transbrake (if desired)
-tranny shield (if desired)
