Re: th350 convertion question

I went the 350 route once. I used the dipstick that came w/ the Trans.
It took alittle bending to make it fit properly but it worked fine.
You could also go the flexible route from summit.

Re: th350 convertion question

Never used a deep pan, but my guess would be, It uses the same dipstick length. The pan wont raise the level of the fluid. Whether you have a deep pan or not the fluid level should stay the same.

true that does make sense i supose LMAO never really thought about it. i just asuumed since the pan held more that the dipstick should be longer.

Hey I'm probably going the TH350 route later on. Do you have any good online information on doing the swap?

Like do you have to get a new drive shaft made?

Thanks,
Mike

Re: th350 convertion question

yea brent is right u can use the stcok driveshaft IF u find a long tailshaft th350. also back in the mid to late 80's they made a few fbody with short tail shaft trannys and there for had to have a longer drive shaft. but good luck finding a stock long drive shaft that long. i think they only made them like 2yrs.

Re: th350 convertion question

What is required as far as wiring goes with this swap? I have a friend who is contemplating this swap as he has a few TH350's laying around.
