Exclamation Terra-Clean VS MotorVac Carbon Cleaning

Well I've been doing some research and have found MotorVac to have some exremely good results, with most of the testimonials that i've seen here:
http://impalassforum.com/cgi-bin/ult...33;t=002148;p=

I was talking with the mechanic about another system (they didn't have the MotorVac system so of course was trying to put the sell on me). He did know well of the motorvac system though, and was basically saying that he felt the TerraClean system was more effective than the MotorVac one. The TerraClean system's chemicals are just as effective and actually they use two chemicals, one for all the stuff that motor vac does and the other to clean out the CAT. Other then that he didn't really have anything else that really stuck out.

Has anyone any more information on the Terra-Clean System? I do know it was Developed in Quebec and isn't as widespread as the MotorVac system, and is cheaper. But I really cant find any good information on it other than this:

Like anyone I want the best treatment for my money and am hoping for any info people know about this treatment.

Ive seen and read lots of that post on MotorVac. Found it interesting enough, and valid proof (increase in vacuum) for me to use it. However, as much as i searched, i could never find anyone who used it around cincinnati. Im interested in what others here have to say.

Never heard of either, but I assume its some sort of engine oil treatment to clean the engine?? If so I'm currently in the process of running a treatment of auto-rx. I'd read quite a few good things about it here as well as elsewhere, so we'll see how it goes.

Well here's an update, I had my car "Motovac'ed" today instead of the terra-clean mainly because i couldn't find much information on the terra clean service.

The technician hooked up the machine and tapped into the two fuel lines with a pair of 3 way adapters . Started the engine up and filled some of the motorvac tank up with my fuel.

He then disconnected the 3 way's and connected the machine directly to the fuel rail using the return and feed connections. For the two lines that went to the fuel tank he connected a hose so that the fuel pump would just run fuel in a loop back to the fuel tank. So basically bypassed the gas tank.

Next he started up the car and machine, and dumped a can of "MotorClean" by ford. He said it was the same stuff as the chemical Snap On sells. THe machine was set for 30 minutes (was kinda hoping he would do longer than 30 though). The machine then just idled for 30 minutes. Simple as that.

After the whole process was complete the engine vaccume didnt go up much, it was at roughly 19.5-20 already and might have gone up to 20-20.5. But could barely notice it.

After driving the car back the engine did feel immediatly a bit smoother, not hugely different but i did notice something. It was running crappy for a bit because my computer was relearning the tables. Then after about 15 more minutes of driving the car started feeling a good bit better! I didn't get a chance to drive it a lot but I will keep an eye on the car over the next few days, it could have just been my hopeful imagination

wouldn't this be considered a variation of seafoam?
it seems that it cleans carbon just the same, only more expensive
