Temp Light flashes on after Driving
Temp Light flashes on after Driving
My temp light on the gauge flashes on when I drive. This happen before when my radiator was low af antifreeze. I checked fluid level and the radiators full. The temp gauge is normal and no leak of antifreeze. Could this be just a gauge malfuntion. Please give me some advice.
Thanks

Re: Temp Light flashes on after Driving
Do you mean the "low coolant" light is coming on? If you had a high temp problem, I think the "check gauges" light would be on. The coolant level sensor is a notorious problem on the LT1's. The sensor gets plugged up or fails, turning on the low coolant light when the radiator is full. You can try cleaning the sensor, or replace it, or simply disconnect it to turn out the low coolant light. The sensor is on the back of the radiator end tank, a few inches below the fill cap.

To clean the sensor just drain the radiator down below the level of the low coolant sensor and just pull the sensor out. It should be pretty obvious which part of it to clean....
