What does it do, can you check codes, what can of proformance stuf can it do?

 

Not IMO.

It lets you make changes for rear end ratios, fan temps and some minor auto transmission shift features and has a pre-set program for tuning that you can apply.

No, but depending on model, it can with an extra cost module.

For the price you can almost afford a dyno tune which will make the car perform better and do anything the hypertech can. I'd rather go out and buy a decent scan tool just to moniter the engine then pay for the hypertech so I can fix my speedometer...

If you are planning on ever getting a dyno tune, in the near future, then no.

 

If you want it for power gains, it's not worth it, even for that price. If you need it for speedo correction and maybe fan programming, then it might be worth it.
An email tune from a programmer like Madz28.com will net you more power than the HPP will.
