Teflon?? rings on fuel injectors
Teflon?? rings on fuel injectors
I pulled my intake to replace gaskets/seals. When I pulled the injectors and fuel rails to replace the O Rings on the injectors I saw some O Rings above the rubber O Ring that look like they are made of teflon. What is the purpose of these teflon rings? I am guessing they just stabilize the injectors. Do they do anything else? A couple of mine are cracked. I think I can get them back in place in the intake bungs. If they are just there to stabilize I think they should work OK even if they do have a crack in them. It they do something more/else I may need to replace them
I had this problem when i pulled off my fuel rail except mine broke in half. The only place i could get them was in a complete injector seal kit from a dealership and it was like 20-some dollars, i ended up takin the old ones from a friend who switched to some Accels and didnt need them.
