TB spacer?

Does anyone know of or has anyone made a TB spacer for the LT-1? seems like every other engine has one available..even the TPI's but not hte LT-1's? Why? Doesn't seem like it is a bad idea.

There wouldn't be enough clearance between the radiator shroud and the intake elbow if you installed a TB Spacer.

Those are the lamest excuses I've ever heard....You know it's nothing to trim the Radiator Cover a bit. I'm going to try it. I've got a riser hood so I've got a litte more room up top. How much HP you think it be good for?

TB spacers are the oldest mode. They didn't survive this long for nothing. But well see. I just ordered some Aluminum blanks.

Go ahead and try it out. Do you mind me asking your logic behind the project?

I picked up 6 rwhp with a Wilson Spacer under my carb'd 383, however, on my TBI that i had in my 90 truck, the spacer felt like it did nothing.

you picked up that power because it increased the length of your intake runners and gave the fuel and air more time to evenly atomize. with a MPFI engine like an LT1, increasing the distance behind the TB will do nothing to smooth the air out hardly at all, and since the fuel isnt injected until right at the port, it will do nothing to change atomization. It's useless on our engines. the only thing I could even concieve it doing that is beneficial is keeping some heat off the the TB ,but that's it. totally not worth it. But.. this guy's already waisted his money on the aluminum, and has already decided to waist more money on getting one of these things machined for his car. But hey, some people just love to **** money away

Concise, well-said and absolutely correct...

True indeed TB spacers are ideal for Carbs...but there are some Fuel injector spacers out there that work. Can't hurt to try.
