TB Question....

I posted my mods on another site and one person replied with this....

"Doug Rippie 52 MM TB/ported air foil- 52 Millimeter throttle bod (stock is 48MM). Sell this for a stock one unless you plan on doing a head/cam package very very soon."

"You don't need any more plenum volume or air flow. The stock TB will flow more then enough for well over your stock HP. When you get to be making 350-400 HP, then upgrade. Until then your just loosing low end power and burning up your tranny (this is a tuning issue that would be correctable in a custom tune that the hypertech will not address). There are always people with stock TB's that sell for cheap. It's not going to hurt you a "ton", but if you can manage to get one for free or really cheap I would swap it out and hold onto your 52MM for later. Either way, make the tune a priority before your trans clutch bands burn up."

Whats your guys opinion?

Re: TB Question....

I'd agree with everything that guy said... its true..

You shouldnt worry about burning up your clutches as long as you increase your shift firmness using hypertech. Thats the same as what any tuner will do to increase your shift firmness.
