Re: Taylor otvc kit

Just get them up as far as you can, and then get a pair of pliers and hold on to the end of the wire and push up on the boot. Careful not to damage the wire though. It worked for me on about 3 of em that I couldnt get up far enough. Getting them back over the wire after you crimp em, was very very easy for me.

Re: Taylor otvc kit

The best way hands down was to spray a little wd40 in the boot and on the wire ends slip right on. I had a lot of trouble with them and tried all the other methods as well and nothing worked! Then after searching on here for an hour came across where someone used wd40. Works like a charm.

Re: Taylor otvc kit

Use silicone spray, twist and shove the wire into the boot, use needle-nose pliers to pull the wire up a bunch, crimp on opti end, spray more silicone spray on, pull boot up to desired position and you're done.

I used wd 40 and still had a bitch of a time. I ended up drilling the boots out and still using wd40. I think the boots are 7mm and the wires are 8mm.

Silicone spray(not wd40) the crap out of them. Then you can get a nice little hand/forearm workout putting them on. I really did not have that much trouble, but you need a lot more silicone than that little tube they give you.

Well I'm going out to give them another try, I love how I finally have everything done with the header install except plug wires and I'm thinking oh that'll be easy, now look at me

Re: Taylor otvc kit

I grabbed an old pushrod and shoved that in and let it sit (while I measured and cut the wire)

Then I stretched it some more with the pushrod right before slipping it on the wire with the help of silicone.

But fore the coil wire.. I tried soaking it in hot water... and I found that made it a billion times easier...

Most sexual post ever.
