Takes a while to return to idle

When driving the car it will take a few seconds for the idle to drop down to where it should be. It seems to stay up around 1500 rpm.

Thw throttle stop is backed out all the way and the blades are fully closed. I have looked all over for vacume leaks and none are found

My IAC counts are going to zero. I checked the resistance of the sensor with a multi meter and it checks out ok.

Its already been taken all apart and cleaned.

Any ideas?

Re: Takes a while to return to idle

I had this issue after I cleaned my TB. Take a QTip and dab some oil on the butterfly rod where it enters the housing (both ends). This cured my issue.
